The full-day drive reveals Uganda’s remarkable diversity, with sweeping views of rolling hills, vibrant tea plantations, sparkling crater lakes, and traditional rural villages along the way. You’ll pause in Fort Portal for a leisurely lunch before continuing on to Kibale. By late afternoon or early evening, you’ll arrive at your lodge, enjoy dinner, and settle in as you get ready for the following day’s thrilling chimpanzee tracking adventure.

After breakfast, Wildhorn Africa will take you on a scenic transfer from Kibale Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most diverse and wildlife-rich destinations. The drive winds through picturesque countryside, with rolling hills and rural villages along the way. You’ll arrive in time to enjoy lunch at your lodge, overlooking sweeping savannahs and sparkling crater lakes.

In the afternoon, you’ll head out for a leisurely boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, the natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. This excursion provides exceptional opportunities to spot hippos wallowing in the water, crocodiles basking on the shores, elephants cooling off at the banks, and a vibrant array of birdlife, including African fish eagles, pied kingfishers, and yellow-billed storks. As evening approaches, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

With Wildhorn Africa, your day starts with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll have the chance to spot lions, elephants, buffalo, antelopes, and, if lucky, the elusive leopard. After breakfast, the journey continues toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, passing through breathtaking scenery of rolling hills and terraced farmlands.

After an early breakfast, Wildhorn Africa will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off into the dense Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for your unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. Guided by experienced rangers, you’ll track a habituated gorilla family and spend an awe-inspiring hour observing their interactions up close—a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience.

Later, you’ll transfer to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 islands, the lake is a sanctuary for birdlife, including grey crowned cranes, herons, and colorful weavers. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a peaceful boat cruise across its waters, exploring islands such as the historic Punishment Island, once used for cultural exile. Your overnight stay will be at Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort on Kyahugye Island, where free-roaming zebras and Uganda kobs add to the magical setting.

After a leisurely breakfast overlooking the calm waters of Lake Bunyonyi, Wildhorn Africa will take you on the return journey to Entebbe, passing through the scenic landscapes of southwestern Uganda’s rolling hills and vibrant countryside. Along the way, you’ll pause at Kayabwe for a memorable stop at the Equator, where you can stand with one foot in the northern hemisphere and the other in the southern. Here, you’ll also have the chance to browse local craft stalls and witness a brief demonstration of the Coriolis effect.

The journey continues with a lunch stop en route before heading toward Entebbe. Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing before your driver drops you off at the airport for your onward flight.
