8 Days Lemosho Route – Climb Mount Kilimanjaro

The 8 Days Lemosho Route – Climb Mount Kilimanjaro itinerary follows a carefully structured acclimatization profile that enhances safety and performance. Beginning at Londorossi Gate on the western slopes, the trail merges with the Machame Route before traversing the dramatic Southern Circuit beneath the imposing glaciers of Kilimanjaro. Each day is intentionally planned to balance trekking hours, rest periods, hydration strategy, and altitude adaptation. Camps are positioned at strategic elevations to allow “climb high, sleep low” benefits where possible. By summit night, climbers are well acclimatized and physically prepared for the ascent to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters above sea level.

The best time for the 8 Days Lemosho Route – Climb Mount Kilimanjaro itinerary is generally during the dry seasons from January to March and from June to October. During these months, rainfall is minimal, trails remain more stable, and summit visibility is clearer. Temperatures at high altitude remain cold year-round, but precipitation is less disruptive during these periods. January to March tends to offer quieter trails with occasional snow at higher elevations, while June to October provides more consistent dry conditions and slightly warmer daytime trekking temperatures. Climbing during the rainy months of April, May, and November is possible but is typically associated with wetter trails and reduced visibility.
