Day by day
Day 1: Camp with the Hippos at Lake Mburo National Park
Start your journey with birds, boats, and big wildlife. After departing Entebbe, you’ll head to Nakiwogo for a boat cruise through Mabamba Swamp with a birding expert. Your first mission: spot the legendary shoebill stork.
Continue south with a lunch stop at the Equator — perfect for photos and fun facts. Afterward, dive into your first game drive at Lake Mburo National Park. Though small, this park is packed with wildlife: zebras, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, elands, and even leopards if you’re lucky.
Tonight, you’ll camp lakeside — with hippos as your neighbors. Enjoy a hearty meal from the 4×4 kitchen, sit by the fire, and drift to sleep under the stars. The truck comes fully equipped with comfy beds, hot showers, and clean facilities.

Wake to the sounds of the wild. After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive out of Lake Mburo, stopping at Kazuma for breakfast with a view.
Head southwest toward Kabale, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Stop for lunch along the scenic shores of Lake Bunyonyi — one of Africa’s most stunning and mysterious lakes.
Then it’s off to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, following winding mountain roads to Buhoma. Your camp tonight is at Ruhondeza Lodge. Enjoy dinner, drinks, a cozy fire, and prep for tomorrow’s unforgettable gorilla trek.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking, Ishasha Game Drive & Lake Edward Camp
Today’s the day: face to face with mountain gorillas. Head to Buhoma HQ for your pre-trek briefing and a cultural dance performance before entering the jungle. The trek may be rugged, but the reward — an hour with the gorillas — is priceless.
After the trek, continue your journey through the forest to Ishasha in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This region is known for its famous tree-climbing lions and abundant wildlife.
Set up camp at Kisenyi Fishing Village on the shores of Lake Edward. Expect some curious nighttime visitors like hippos, kob, and maybe even a hyena or two. Safari life doesn’t get more real than this.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga Channel
Rise with the sun and drive deeper into the Rift Valley. Transfer to the Kazinga Channel for a wildlife-packed boat safari — elephants, buffalo, fish eagles, and countless birds await.
Lunch follows at the boat dock before heading to the Twin Crater Lakes at Kyambura for a scenic walk (optional).
Later, set out on one of Uganda’s best game drives through the Kasenyi Sector by Lake George. Spot predators and prey alike in this thriving ecosystem. Tonight, you’ll stay in a mid-range luxury banda at Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge with views of the Kazinga Channel.

Day 5: Chimp Trekking in Kyambura Gorge & Return to Entebbe
