Transfer to a Hazyview Guesthouse

Guests will depart from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and transfer by shuttle to Hazyview—though private transfers can also be arranged at an additional cost. On arrival in Hazyview, a Wildhorn Africa guide will meet you and escort you to your accommodation at a charming 4-star guesthouse. After enjoying a welcome drink in the lush, bird-filled gardens, you’ll have a couple of hours to settle in and relax before heading out for your introduction to Thembo at Elephant Whispers, where a one-hour interactive program awaits.

This experience offers a rare opportunity to meet Africa’s gentle giants, learning about their fascinating behavior and biology while witnessing the deep trust they’ve built through the care and kindness of their handlers.

Afterward, you’ll return to the guesthouse, with time to freshen up before being transferred to a local restaurant for dinner at your convenience.

Your Kruger National Park safari with Wildhorn Africa begins before sunrise, setting off in an open safari vehicle that offers elevated views for incredible game sightings and sweeping panoramas. Guided by an experienced expert, you’ll track iconic wildlife while gaining deeper insight into the park’s ecosystems. Along the way, you’ll pause at scenic lookout points, waterholes, and riverbanks, maximizing your chances of spotting a wide variety of animals and taking in the park’s breathtaking landscapes.

A packed breakfast will be provided to enjoy at a rest camp, and later there will be a stop for lunch where you can purchase a meal or simply take a break to stretch. After an eventful day, you’ll return to your guesthouse to unwind, perhaps relaxing with a sundowner by the pool.

In the evening, a transfer will be ready to take you to dinner at the scheduled time of your choice.

Kruger Morning Safari & Transfer to the Private Game Reserve

Once more, you’ll rise before dawn for your final morning safari in Kruger National Park before continuing onward to a private game reserve. As before, your guesthouse will provide breakfast packs to enjoy at a picnic spot or rest camp during the drive.

By late morning, around 11:15 am, you’ll exit the park and return briefly to the guesthouse to collect your luggage. From there, Wildhorn Africa will transfer you to Umkumbe Safari Lodge in the renowned Sabi Private Game Reserve, arriving in time to settle in, relax, and take in views of the Sand River before heading out for the 4:00 pm sunset safari.

This safari experience will differ from your Kruger adventure, as you’ll embark on off-road drives in an open 4×4 Land Rover with a 360-degree view—perfect for capturing photographs and videos of the wildlife up close.

The day concludes in true African bush style, with dinner served under the stars around a glowing boma fire, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

Morning Off Road Safari & Transfer to OR Tambo Airport

Savor your final early morning game drive with Wildhorn Africa, complete with a coffee and breakfast snack stop deep in the bushveld. Guided by expert rangers, this last safari promises to leave you with unforgettable memories. Afterward, enjoy a hearty breakfast on the lodge deck overlooking the dry riverbed, where passing wildlife often makes an appearance.

Once breakfast is complete, you’ll be transferred back to Hazyview to connect with the shuttle to OR Tambo International Airport. For those wishing to extend the adventure, an additional night in the private game reserve can be arranged at an extra cost.
