3 Day Murchison Falls National Park Safari

This is a short escape by land to Murchison Falls National Park, where you can see the Big Five (rhinoceros, elephant, water buffalo, lion, and leopard) in their natural habitat. In a 3 Day Murchison Falls National Park Safari
Set in Uganda’s largest and oldest protected area, the 3 Day Murchison Falls National Park Safari offers an unforgettable blend of adventure, wildlife, and natural wonder.
The journey begins with a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, culminating in the lush savannahs and riverbanks of Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is included, where the rare opportunity to track white rhinos on foot is provided. Once inside the park, guided game drives are conducted across the northern circuit, where elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and countless antelope species are frequently sighted in their natural habitat.
One of the highlights of this tour is a boat cruise along the Nile River, leading to the base of the thundering Murchison Falls—where the world’s longest river is forced through a narrow 7-meter gorge. Hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds are commonly observed along the riverbanks during the cruise. A short hike to the top of the falls is also included, offering panoramic views and dramatic photo opportunities of the roaring cascade. Comfortable lodge accommodations, expert-guided activities, and all logistics are carefully arranged to ensure a seamless and enriching safari experience over the three days.

Rhinos and Murchison Falls
You can leave Entebbe at 8 am or Kampala at 9 am. Take a break in Lowero Market before heading to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Join a guided walk with the white rhinos and learn about this inspiring campaign to reintroduce these amazing animals.
You’ll transfer from Ziwa to Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi after lunch. Visit the top of the world’s most powerful Murchison Falls, where the Nile plunges into a 7-meter ravine.
You’ll then transfer to Red Chili Restcamp for your first night camping and a tour of our amazing camp. Camp supper and beverages, the banda restaurant, or both are available. Experience lodge fire and Nile basin views.
Boat Cruise, Chill Out, and Venture into the Wilderness
A boat safari to the base of Murchison Falls follows breakfast at Red Chili. Elephants, hippos, water buffaloes, kingfishers, weaver birds, and fish eagles live on the Nile.
You’ll transfer to the famed Paraa Lodge for lunch and a Nile-view pool break.
The ranger will be picked around midafternoon for the savannah game safari. The Nile Delta with Lake Albert is your wilderness campsite. Expect antelopes, elephants, giraffes, water buffaloes, and over 1000 bird species in Uganda! Firewood will be collected and we will camp overlooking Lake Albert in the wilderness. After an evening wildlife drive with the best chance of seeing a lion or leopard, you’ll return to camp for BBQ and beverages around the campfire.
Extended Game Drive and Home for Tea and Medals
Morning wildlife safari and another chance to watch lion and leopard eating breakfast will follow a cup of tea. Eventually, you’ll stop by the Nile for a breakfast or anything. A little walking safari with the ranger will allow you to observe additional hippos and possibly crocs as we set things up. Drive across Murchison to depart the far northeastern gate after breakfast. This is a long, rarely utilized trail into an elephant-rich area.
Start your journey home over the Nile rapids at Karuma Bridge after leaving the park, reaching Entebbe or Kampala at around 6 pm.
