Pick up and transfer to Bwindi

You will be welcomed at Kigali International Airport by a Wildhorn Africa representative who will escort you on the journey to Bwindi via the Chanika border. Along the way, there will be stopovers for restroom breaks or quick visits to supermarkets should you wish to grab a snack or coffee. Upon reaching the Chanika border, you’ll receive assistance with immigration clearance on both the Rwanda and Uganda sides, as well as support in obtaining favorable forex rates if you’d like to exchange for Uganda Shillings. From there, you’ll continue to Bwindi, where you’ll check in at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge and have time to rest in preparation for the exciting gorilla trek the following day.

Trek Gorilla

You’ll start the day with breakfast at 6:30 am before heading to the park for registration and a detailed briefing. Here, you’ll be placed into a trekking group and accompanied by an experienced guide and rangers. The gorilla trek typically lasts between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the group you are assigned. After this unforgettable experience, you’ll return to your lodge with Wildhorn Africa for some well-deserved rest.

Transfer to Kigali International Airport

The day begins with breakfast at 7:00 am, after which Wildhorn Africa will set off with you on the return journey to Kigali, departing around 8:00 am.
