The afternoon will be spent on game drives across the plains, before heading to Serengeti Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today’s adventure takes you on a full-day game drive through the Southern and Central Serengeti, including the renowned Seronera Valley. The Maasai named this region “Serengeti,” meaning “the land of endless plains,” and it truly lives up to its name. The vast southern plains, covered in sweeping savannah grasslands, provide year-round grazing grounds for wildlife such as wildebeests, zebras, Coke’s hartebeests, waterbucks, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and impalas.
In the Seronera Valley, scattered acacia trees and rocky outcrops known as kopjes create unique habitats. These formations serve as prime lookout points for predators while also offering shelter for hyrax, pythons, lizards, and other reptiles. The area is particularly famous for its leopard sightings, making it one of the best places to encounter this elusive big cat.
On your final day, start with an early breakfast before setting out with a packed lunch for morning game drives. Enjoy wildlife viewing until midday, then begin your journey back from the Serengeti toward Arusha, passing once more through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. By late evening, you will continue to either Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
After an incredible safari, it’s time to unwind and enjoy the serene beauty of Zanzibar—one of Tanzania’s most enchanting destinations. Often referred to as a little paradise on earth, the island offers the perfect setting to relax on pristine white-sand beaches. Here you can savor magical sunsets, swim in the turquoise waters, take part in beach activities, and simply soak in the idyllic island atmosphere for unforgettable moments.
