Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a Wildhorn Africa driver-guide will welcome you, provide a brief orientation, and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at an Entebbe hotel, giving you the chance to unwind, recover from jet lag, and prepare for the adventures ahead.

After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and begin the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, located in the far northeastern region of Uganda, approximately a 5–6 hour drive. The route offers stunning countryside scenery as you travel through the Karamoja region. Upon arrival, you will have lunch at your lodge, complete the park entry formalities, and check in to your accommodation. Kidepo Valley National Park is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, featuring majestic mountains and rolling hills.

After breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive to explore the Narus Valley and its wildlife. Following lunch, enjoy another game drive in Kidepo Valley, keeping an eye out for unique animals such as ostriches. You will also visit the Kanangorok hot springs before returning to your lodge. In the evening, immerse yourself in the local culture with a visit to a Karamojong village.

After your morning breakfast, you will set off for Murchison Falls National Park, a scenic journey of about 6 to 7 hours from Kidepo Valley National Park. Along the way, you will stop in Gulu town for lunch before continuing to the park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Start the day with an early breakfast at your lodge before heading out on a two-hour game drive in Uganda’s largest national park. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including lions, leopards, hippos, warthogs, African elephants, Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, antelopes, waterbucks, and an incredible variety of bird species. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a three-hour boat cruise along the River Nile, where you can spot elephants, hippos, Nile crocodiles, antelopes, monkeys, and numerous water birds along the riverbanks. The cruise takes you to the base of the mighty falls, where you will embark on a scenic hike to the top, lasting about an hour and a half. Later, head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin your day with an early breakfast before checking out of the lodge. You will then drive through the park en route to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will enjoy a guided trek in the savannah to observe rhinos up close. After this experience, have lunch and continue your journey to Hoima town, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

After breakfast, you will set off on a road trip to Kibale National Park, arriving in the afternoon for lunch and relaxation at your lodge. Later in the evening, you will take a guided nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you may encounter a variety of wildlife including birds, olive baboons, bush babies, and the elusive sitatunga, among other fascinating species.

After breakfast, you will head to the park offices for a briefing before setting out on an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure through the dense forest. Visitors are allowed a maximum of one hour in the presence of these fascinating primates. Along the way, you may also encounter other primate species such as red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, as well as larger wildlife including African elephants, antelopes, and Cape buffaloes. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation before continuing your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After breakfast, you will head out for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will encounter a wide variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, African elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, antelopes, Cape buffaloes, and warthogs. The drive also offers scenic views of the park’s crater lakes. After about three hours, return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a two-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, home to the world’s largest concentration of hippos. Along the way, you will also spot numerous bird species as well as Nile crocodiles, elephants, antelopes, and other wildlife along the riverbanks.

This morning, you will rise early and set out on another exciting game drive, offering a chance to observe animals within their families, groups, and natural clans. The drive takes you across the Ishasha plains, famous for their tree-climbing lions, and also home to elephants, leopards, Cape buffaloes, waterbucks, and a variety of colorful bird species. Later in the day, you will continue with a two-hour journey to Bwindi Forest, the renowned home of mountain gorillas.

Often referred to as our close relatives, mountain gorillas share about 98% of their DNA with humans. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park shelters nearly half of the world’s mountain gorilla population, along with a variety of other primates, mammals, reptiles, and more. After a briefing at the park headquarters, you will set out with a ranger guide into the dense jungle in search of these remarkable creatures. The trek can last anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas, and once encountered, visitors are allowed just one unforgettable hour in their presence. For those who may not wish to trek gorillas, alternative activities include a guided forest walk or a cultural visit to the Batwa community. Following the adventure, you will continue to Lake Bunyonyi—Africa’s second-deepest lake and a paradise for bird lovers. Here, you will be treated to breathtaking scenery, including the terraced, interlocking hills where locals practice traditional farming.

After breakfast, you will set off on a 4-hour and 30-minute drive to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest of Uganda’s parks but exceptionally rich in wildlife. Along the way, you will stop in Mbarara town for lunch before continuing your journey through beautiful landscapes dotted with farms, plantations, and bustling local markets. Lake Mburo National Park is home to an impressive array of wildlife, including large populations of zebras, impalas, oribis, Cape buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, and more than 332 recorded bird species. Upon arriving in the afternoon, you will enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Mburo.

After an early breakfast, you will set out for a morning walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park, well known for its populations of zebras, impalas, giraffes, elands, Cape buffaloes, and a wide variety of tropical bird species. Afterwards, you will check out of your lodge and begin the journey back to Entebbe International Airport, bidding farewell to the Pearl of Africa. On the way, you will stop at the Equator line for the unique experience of standing at Latitude 00.
